The lawsuit also targets an unidentified developer operating under the pseudonym Daigo Game 2020, who published counterfeit Poppy Playtime games on the Google Play Store.

The fraudulent apps, labeled as Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, have garnered over a million downloads despite not being officially released by Mob Entertainment. These fake applications lure unsuspecting users with the promise of new content but ultimately lead them to pay between $30 and $95 for a non-functional game. This deceptive practice not only harms consumers financially but also tarnishes the reputation of Mob Entertainment, which prides itself on delivering high-quality gaming experiences. The company claims that Google's reluctance to permanently remove these scam apps has exacerbated the issue, leading to repeated reappearances on the platform.
