In Jonesboro, Arkansas, a significant incident involving a teacher and a student came to light. Stuart Simpson, an E-sports teacher, found himself in a rather unexpected situation. On November 13th, as reported by KAIT, he submitted a complaint to the police accusing one of his students of using his credit card to make over $1,000 worth of virtual items purchases on his video game console.

Details of the Incident

Simpson's complaint detailed that he had entered his credit card information into one of his student's PlayStation consoles. This was because the student had been unable to purchase a PlayStation Plus subscription on their own, which would have granted them access to a wide range of video games for free. However, after making the subscription purchase for the student, Simpson attempted to remove his credit card information from the student's device through the PlayStation website. But what he discovered later was quite alarming. When looking at the charges on his account, there were $1,056 worth of charges from the student's PlayStation.Although Simpson was able to take immediate action by calling his credit card company and getting the charges revoked, he still chose to submit an official complaint to the police. This complaint was sent to the juvenile department on November 14th.As of now, authorities have not released any more information regarding the specific items purchased or the next steps in this matter. It remains a puzzling situation that has raised questions and concerns within the local community.
